A Day In My Life

So I've realized lately that I post a lot of happy "perfect" pictures on Facebook.
Those are a wonderful part of my life, but here is my every day real life, hour by hour.

February 4, 2015.

4 am hour:
Cooper woke up to nurse, then refused to go back to sleep in his crib. So he slept in our bed instead.

7 am hour:
Natalie is awake. Tim got her up and started Daniel Tiger for her.

8 am hour:
It's me and the kids this morning while Tim gets to "sleep in" (since he took the first night shift).
I caught this sweet moment of the kids... She is usually on top of him so it was especially nice to see them bonding. 😊

9 am hour:
Laundry. Cooper is out of clean jammies so I can't put it off anymore. Can I mention now that I hate my laundry room? It is so small (or do I have that much junk?).

10 am hour:
Natalie has dance class. Even though it is only one mile away, I still manage to be 10 minutes late.
Because:
Tim set off the house alarm while I was in the shower, waking Cooper up from a sound sleep.
Cooper decided he wanted to nurse.
Natalie refused to get dressed because she wanted to watch "a couple more minutes of Daniel Tiger".
After getting dressed, Natalie refused to walk from her room to the laundry room to put shoes on because her tights were too slippery.
Cooper pooped as we were about to walk out the door.
As soon as we got into the car, Natalie had a melt down because she wanted milk.

11 am hour:
Headed to my parents for lunch so I don't have to cook.

12 pm hour:
My dad made us a delicious lunch. Commence always enjoyable meal time with toddler.

1 pm hour:
Natalie helped Grammy and pa make cookies. She is so lucky to have amazing grandparents.

2 pm hour:
Cooper is asleep! Now I can lay down too.
Two minutes later... Cooper is awake. So much for that nap.

3 pm hour:
Grammy holds Cooper for me so I can pet Noodle and plan vacations with Pa (Mexico her we come!)

4 pm hour:
Finally leave my parents with no nap Natalie. Apologize for deceiving them by saying we were just coming over for lunch.

Two minutes later and she's out.

5 pm hour:
Finally reunited with Tim! ZinBurger for dinner. Hashtag, yum. #lovezinburger #zucchinifries

6 pm hour:
Tim heads home with Natalie while Cooper and I head to the Town of Gilbert planning and zoning meeting for the Barn.

7 pm hour:
Meeting is still going.

8 pm hour:
Meeting is still going.

9 pm hour:
Meeting is still going. I wonder if I'm getting paid for this.

10 pm hour:
I can't take it anymore. Headed home.
I realize I forgot to take the kids clothes out of the dryer this morning because mine were still in it from three days ago. Guess I better fold them.

11 pm hour:
Finally in bed (with Tim by my side!). Turn on Jimmy Fallon and see Saved By The Bell reunion! A perfect ending to a semi perfect day.

Baby E2 Is Coming Soon!

After a year of fertility treatments, hundreds of shots and thousands of pills, we are ecstatic to announce that baby Ehlen #2 is on the way!

My official due date is November 20th- a week before Thanksgiving.

Natalie is very excited for the baby in mommy's tummy and goes back and forth between wanting a brother or a sister. We are sure she will be happy to have a new baby in the house and will be a great helper.

Our latest ultrasound picture at nine weeks (three and a half weeks ago)
